    Description

    Antique Brown Leather Doctor’s Medical Bag
    Vintage and well worn, large leather medical bag with dark brass latches and lock (no key). The leather is wrapped and secured with three studs or large tacks on both short ends. Additionally, there are leather corner pieces to add reinforcing to this often used article. Bottom also has studs, though one is missing. The inside lining appears to be canvas and the five interior pockets to hold objects are leather. On the lock, the two brass clasps work though they do not spring open. Underside is stamped “Solid Leather”.
    Measurements:
    About 17 1/2” long x 15 1/2” tall (w/o handle) x 9" wide and weighs a whopping 9 pounds, 11 ounces.
    Condition:
    This bag has been well-used. Fortunately, it was well made and still retains its structure and rectangular shape. The leather is cracked, worn and some has flaked off, consistent with use and age—please view all photos. Handle is intact though shows some loss. Corners are well worn, with one particularly peeling/rough. Interior has a musty odor as it was stored/found in a barn.
