    Description

    A solid cast iron Meiji era
    sake /
    teapot from Kyoto, Japan.
    It was used for boiling water or warming sake. Both the handle and lid are brass.
    It is water tight.
    The body is 6 3/4 inches across and 4 1/2 inches high. (17 x 11.5 cm)
    The spout is another 2 3/4 inches long (7 cm),  the brass handle is 3 3/4 inches (10 cm) above the body.
    It weighs just over 3 3/4 pounds (1.7 kilo)
