Description
The Cambodia 500 Riels was released in 1991 by the Peoples Bank of Kampuchea. It is predominantly colored orange with hints of green-yellow and red. The front side is in Khmer text and features an image of an office worker with a portfolio, a farmer with rice stalks, a factory worker with a hammer, and a soldier with an AK-47 assault rifle. A factory can also be seen in the background. The Coat of Arms of Cambodia is shown on the obverse side of the note. The reverse of the 132 x 66 mm banknote is presented in French and Khmer texts and displays the Independent Monument in Phnom Penh. The paper bill has a watermark that reflects a repeating pattern. This Cambodia 500 Riels is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
