This sale is for a 2008 concert poster for Death Cab For Cutie's April 18 show at the Admiral Theater in Bremerton, Washington. The poster/print is signed and hand-numbered #131 of an edition of 150, by artist Jon Smith, whose collective works of concert p
osters represent some of the finest and most creative in the modern genre. Playing off the theme of the 2004 Wes Anderson film
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou,
and depicts a stylized fish swimming past a porthole, presumably from the
Jacqueline
Deep Search submarine- intended to tie in with the aquatic theme of the Admiral Theater venue. Measuring 10 inches by 23 inches, the poster printed by D&L Screenprinting, 5-color screen-print that includes metallic copper ink on 100lb Domtar titanium-white paper.
This print has been stored flat since purchased in 2008, and has never been framed or otherwise mounted.
I absolutely hate to see this print go, but I simply have no where I can hang it if I were to get it framed. Hopefully it can go to someone with the wall space to appreciate it.
