Offering a
RARE, old early 1900's
all leather wide mouth handled Doctors bag, briefcase, medical/insurance case with a softly distressed, and aged patina showing some age related scuffs, scratches and corner wear along the edges, all adding to it's weathered, time worn look that cannot be replicated in new products. It is embossed with "
Commercial Union Assurance Insurance company" logo on inside wall, as seen in photo. Inside has one main storage area made of a thick durable piece that allows for two slip storage sections on each side. It has a few marks inside bottom, but no
tears or odors. Bag features brass hardware and original handle, multiple closure positions for locking shut. No key.
This rare and hard to find quality bag is in amazing condition for it's age. It comes with lots of character.  It has been pre-loved with 70+ years of usage and tons of life left for your enjoyment.  A classic piece of Americana that should last forever if given proper care.

@ Condition:
Beautiful vintage condition with a nice patina! Shows overall minimal light wear appropriate with age and usage over time. Leather is softly distressed, showing some minor scuffs, scratches, marks and corner wear.  Leather and brass hardware have a nice aged patina that can only come with true wear from usage over time. I have not tested the snap in clasp feature for fear I could not open it back up as I am not sure if it is in a locking position.(no key)  No rips or tears.  No odors.  Inside is clean.
Zipper functions properly. Bag has been well cared for. Please see all photos and zoom in for flaws.
